Where do i begin in a racing career?

Im a good problem solver and would like to solve problems for the car or a race team. What would i need to get a degree in or need to do? I have an ociates Degree in Applied Science in Mechanical Design Technologies, also i was an Air Traffic Control Apprentice and I am in the Military at the moment. I would like to start a degree that will head me in the right direction to be in any type of main stream racing. NASCAR, Indy, Formula 1 or La Mans.
