My uncle needs a hip replacement and needs help to survive after the surgery what help is there to help him?

Hip replacement and knee replacement has become very successful surgery in the past 5 years. I had a total knee replacement (right side) and one year later a total hip replacement (left side). Plenty of physical therapy after both surgeries. The therapy was more difficult than the surgery. I was 62 years old at the time. You must get your uncle in touch with a specialized SS disability attorney. DON'T let him apply for disability without an attorney. DON'T. Those people, contrary to popular belief, are not there to help people. They're doing their job to disprove the claim. An Attorney. While the lawyer is working, he goes to therapy & tries to make some extra cash with his truck. Or any extra cash (Off TB) any way he can. And you contact the truck finance company, and the mortgage company. Explain the situation, including the application for disability. Ask for a temporary suspension of payments until uncle is able to work again (ask for 6 months - if they ask how long). When he's released from the hospital, they will furnish him with a electrical piece of equiment which will help in the movement of his leg while he is immobile. You need this to show the electric company that his electricity cannot be shut off. Now matter how much he owes. They will gladly suspend bills. They will 'pop-in' every three months to see the machine. By the way, If uncle has cash in savings account, change banks and put money in your name. You need to do this because next thing to do is apply for Food stamps/coupons. My guess is that if you have everything i stated in place, he should get about 180.00 per month in food stamps. With good shopping techniques, this 180 could feed two people. I wish I could spend more time on this letter, because there must be more to tell. But i must leave now. Feel free to contact me through YA and we can bang our heads together for more ways to help uncle. Good Luck.
